Fish Table Game: 5 Things Buyers Should Check Before Ordering

Most fish tables look good in supplier photos. The problems usually appear later: the cabinet is larger than expected, the payment system does not match the venue, a replacement board is difficult to source, or the next order arrives with different wiring.

For arcade operators, distributors, and game room buyers, choosing a fish table game should not start with the lowest quotation. It should start with one question: will this machine still be easy to operate and repair after it reaches the venue?

Before ordering, five checks matter most: player configuration, cabinet size, PCB and software, payment setup, and spare parts support.

1. Choose the Player Count for the Venue

More players do not automatically mean a better machine. An 8-player or 10-player fish table needs more floor space, access around the cabinet, suitable power, and enough room for technicians to service it.

For a smaller arcade, a compact model may be easier to operate. For a busy game room, distributor showroom, or family entertainment center, a larger table may make more sense.

Ask for the full cabinet dimensions, machine weight, and service-door position before confirming the order. Fusen’s 65 Inch 10 Player Fish Table is one example of a large-format commercial configuration.

2. Confirm the PCB, Software and Payment System Together

A common purchasing mistake is approving the cabinet first and discussing the game board, card reader, bill acceptor, or language settings later.

Before production, confirm the PCB model, number of players, software version, language, difficulty settings, I/O system, wiring, and payment requirements as one specification.

If the electronic system is sourced separately, the Dragon & Phoenix Fish Table PCB Kit is an example of a multi-player board package for commercial fish game projects.

3. Compare What Is Inside, Not Only the Price

Two fish tables can look almost identical but use different wiring, power supplies, boards, controls, and internal components. A lower price may simply mean more work later.

Check Point Common Risk What to Confirm
PCB Different version on repeat orders Exact model and repeat supply
Wiring Poor labeling slows repairs Clear harness layout
Payment Compatibility checked too late Confirm before assembly
Spare Parts Machine stops while waiting for parts Keep common replacements available

4. Check Market Requirements Before Shipping

Voltage, frequency, plug type, payment hardware, labeling, and certification requirements can differ by destination market.

UL Solutions lists UL 22 for Amusement and Gaming Machines. Requirements vary by country and project, so buyers should confirm what applies before production rather than after the machine arrives.

5. Ask About Spare Parts Before You Need Them

A failed button or power supply may be inexpensive. The expensive part is having a commercial machine sitting idle while the correct replacement is identified and shipped.

Ask which parts should be kept in stock and whether the same PCB, software version, wiring, and controls will remain available for future orders.

Industry Insight: Buy the System, Not Just the Cabinet

The IAAPA Entertainment Center Benchmark Report looks at attraction mix together with operating expenses, staffing, revenue, and guest behavior. The same operating mindset applies when buying arcade equipment.

A slightly cheaper fish table can become more expensive if it creates repeated downtime, inconsistent parts, or payment-system problems. For distributors, consistency matters even more because standardized boards, wiring, and spare parts make support much easier.

Before You Place the Order

Before paying a deposit, confirm the player count, cabinet dimensions, PCB model, software configuration, payment system, voltage, spare parts, packing method, testing, warranty, and repeat-order availability.

The best fish table game is not necessarily the largest table or the lowest quotation. For a commercial buyer, it is the machine that fits the venue, stays serviceable, and can still be supported after the first shipment.
